The qualifiers in the Desruisseaux Football League/ SLFA Inc. Promotional League Cup began, last weekend, with four of the six participating teams in the competition, making it to the knockout stages.
La Couville and Blanchard United played to a 2-all draw in the first game of the two qualifiers last Saturday (April 8).
Goal scorers for La Couville were Aloysius Daliyah in the 10th minute and Mocancy Jn. Pierre in the 32nd.
Blanchard United got their goals from Joevanus Charlery in the 47th minute of the game and Ryan Langelier in the 67th.
Other qualifiers from Div. I and II are El Ninos, TFC and Diamond Ballers; alongside DX United, Green Monsters, La Couville and Small Axe. The 8th spot will be decided by a two-game qualifier between Blanchard United and Lionheart.
Matches continue today, Wednesday with the second qualifier.
Meanwhile, CT Foundation continued their dominance in the La Clery Football League Boys Club Under-15 tournament with a commanding 5 – 0 victory over Agardianz, last Saturday, at Agard.
Jeremiah Berthier and Nilroy Marius netted braces, and Mickel Justin got a goal.
Matches continued, on Tuesday, with CT Foundation vs. Radics at the La Clery Playing Field.
In other updates, spectators were treated to a goal feast on Easter Sunday, as the Bordelais Correctional Facility (BCF) Safe Space Futsal competition continued, at the Richfond Playing Field.
However, the BCF representative teams experienced a tough challenge in on-field action.
Mabouya Valley defeated Octave FC 5 – 0; with Claudio Joseph scoring a hat trick and added goals from Tekj Pascal and Kian Mondesir.
Rose Hill trounced York FC 13 – 0, with hat tricks from Jovan Sandiford and Denis Edwin. There were braces for national player Brandon Sandiford and Zackay Sandiford, while national player Canius Sandiford, Lee Joseph and Kenroy Reid also converted.
