On Monday, January 30, 2023 about 2:00 p.m. officers attached to the Central Police Station arrested a male on High Street, Castries for unlawful Possession of Firearm and Ammunition.
Whilst on patrol the officers observed a suspicious male and approached him. A search was conducted of his person and a 9mm pistol with a magazine containing 17 rounds of 9mm ammunition was recovered. He was arrested and escorted to the Criminal Investigations Department for further action.
A Warrant to Search for Property was executed at his residence in Goodlands, Castries, where a magazine and one round of 9mm ammunition was recovered.
An update will be provided once charges are preferred.
