Although the document is over a decade old, officials say it played a major role during the COVID-19 pandemic period. The current review process will seek to cover areas such as defining roles and stakeholder participation.

This week, the island’s Communicable Disease Surveillance Manual was under review, as the Health Ministry seeks to update the 15-year-old document.
Officials from the Ministry’s key departments met with representatives from the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) as part of the review process.
