Last weekend produced some exciting results in action packed matches in the LUCELEC/BOSL Youth Tournament.
In the U14 division, NYAH FC and Monchy Utd produced perhaps the game of the tournament thus far, which ended in an exciting 3-3 draw. Monchy Utd had a cracking start to the game, as they produced three quick fire goals from Shiloh John with two goals, and Kheiron Hippolyte in the first half.
Nyah FC conjured up the spirit, desire and belief needed to come from three goals down, owing to goals from Curtly Augustin, Evans Nicholas and Jeniah Jemmont.
In the U12 division, FC Pioneers trashed FLOW Lancers FC 7-0, a quite humbling score-line, considering the effort displayed by FLOW Lancers FC was commendable. A hat trick by both G’Kai Charlemagne and D’Andre James propelled their team to an emphatic victory.
FLOW Lancers FC are rock bottom of the table, being on the wrong end of a 7-0 score-line for the second week running.
In the U16 division, GMC Utd claimed victory over Valley Soccer Club by 1-0, with a strike from Mickez Castang in the 22nd minute.
In the featured game of the U18 division; Valley Soccer Club held GMC Utd to a 1-all draw.
Both teams were deadlocked at the break, but all changed when in-form talisman Mervin St. Romaine opened the scoring from the spot in the 47th minute. Chances were few and far between for the away side, but they got fortunate after a defensive error gifted Josh George with a chance to equalize and he duly obliged in the 80th minute.
