SMC (A) triumphed over all competitors to win the Boys Team Finals of the 2022 Inter Secondary Schools Table Tennis Boys Team Championships.
SMC beat SALCC 3-2 in the finals, despite Dawitt Nurse’s two wins for SALCC. SMC’s Stephen Steele and Rawson Harris fought from behind to win the deciding doubles match to secure the Boys’ team title.
In the semi-finals, SMC (A) won over CCSS (A) 3-1. Rawson Harris from SMC was the outstanding player.
The other semi-final ended with SALCC gaining a 3 – 2 win over SMC (B) in a close encounter.
Leading up to the championship title, the quarter final results were as follows.
Leshon Francis put on an outstanding performance to help CCSS (A) gain a 3-0 win over SCSS (A) in the first quarter final match. The second boys’ quarter final match saw SMC (A) also getting by VFCSS 3-0. SMC’s Rawson Harris was the outstanding player of the match.
In the third quarter final match, SALCC beat SCSS (B) 3-0. Dawitt Nurse from SALCC was the outstanding player of the match.
The fourth quarter final resulted in SMC (B) winning over Stanley Jon Odlum School 3-0. Nathan Alexander from SMC was the outstanding player.
