St Mary’s College (SMC) defeated Entrepot Secondary School (ESS) 6-0 , as the final preliminary round match in the Schools Under-19 football competition was played, this week, at the SAB.
Though the game was reduced to 60 minutes, nonetheless, it was a matter of ‘sweet music’ for the Samarians. Markay Emile scored a beaver trick with goals in the 54th, 59th, 65th and the 1st min of added on time, while Thiery Morille netted in the 16th and Rawson Harris 50th min.
Following the preliminary round matches the quarter-finalists are as follows:
Under 15:
Group 1 – St. Mary’s College, Sir Ira Simmons Secondary, Babonneau Secondary (Best 3rd place).
Group 2 – St. Lucia Sports Academy, Micoud Secondary, Anse Ger Secondary (Best 3rd place).
Group 3 – Soufriere Comprehensive, Vieux Fort Comprehensive.
Group 1 – St. Lucia Sports Academy, Babonneau Secondary.
Group 2 – Patricia D James Secondary, St. Mary’s College
Group 3- Grande Riviere Secondary, Micoud Secondary.
Group 4- Stanley Jon Odlum Secondary, Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary.
