The finals of the 2022 Prior’s Grill and Bar 501 Darts Classic concluded last Saturday (November, 19) at Prio’s Grill and Bar Corinth.
According to the organizers, the finals of both team and individual events were of “very high standards” as some of the players recently came back from participating in the Barbados Darts Festival in very high spirits.
In the Mixed Triples final; Marcus Toussaint, Haig Louis and Patricia Edmund of Untouchables A defeated Peter Lionel, Athanasius St. Rose and Leona Augustine of Amazona 3 – 1.
The Mixed Doubles were an all Untouchables A affair, as Haig Louis and Patricia Edmund defeated Marcus Toussaint and Marcia Norville 3 – 1.
The Men Doubles finals was won by Jonathan Emmanuel and Cuthbert Tony of Untouchables A defeating Haig Louis and Marcus Toussaint also of Untouchables A 3- 0.
In the Ladies Singles finals, Leona Augustine of Amazona defeated Patricia Edmund of Untouchables A 3 – 1.
The Men Singles finals; Lambert Charles of Untouchables A emerged as the champion defeating the #1 ranked player Marcus Toussaint.
In the finals of the Team event, Untouchables A defeated Amazona 6 – 2. The game started off evenly with one game apiece, but as the match continued, it got very tense. At one stage, Untouchables A pulled all the metal off and run away with the balance of 4 games leaving behind the final game, which would have been only a bonus to either team.
Final score: Untouchables A won 6 – 2.
The closing ceremony and awards presentation is scheduled to take place today (Saturday) at Prio’s Grill and Bar, Corinth.
