Fourteen-year-old Tristan Dorville of the Sea Jays Swim Club was a star performer at last weekend’s 21st Rodney Heights Aquatic Club (RHAC) Invitational Swim Meet—setting National records in the Male 200 Fly – 2:12.58 and Male 400 IM – 4:49.84.
In all, several records were smashed to add to the thrills and excitement generated over the three-day event held last week (April 6 to 9) with a total of 12 age group records broken.
During the course of action; Age group records were set by Naima Hazell two (2), D’Andre Blanchard (1), and Tristan Dorville nine (9).
Notably, the Male 200 Fly was previously held by Jayhan Odlum-Smith at the Blandin Grand Prix in 2019 with a time of 2:17.08 and the Male 400 IM 5:02.68 Ethan Dyke-Elliott at Alex Baumann Invitational in 2017 with a time of 5:02.68.
The swim meet attracted a cheerful and excited bunch of family support, friends, and fans for the duration of the event; with a focus on the respective team colours and flags in a feverish display to add to the engrossing and competitive mode of the young swimmers dashing it out in the pool.
Tristan featured amongst the ‘High Point’ junior athletes in the different categories, at the meet, with the top individual performers as follows:

Sea Jays Swim Club topped the Male team standings with a total of 737 points, followed by Blue Marlins on 390, and Lightning Aquatics Swim Club on 335.
The other competitors in the male category included; Sharks Swim Club – 255, RHAC Swim Club – 57, Black Sands Swim Squad – 50, Southern Flying Fish – 44, and Unattached – 38.

RHAC head administrator and meet coordinator, Dr. Diane Worrell was pleased with the outcome of the event, stating that: “After four exciting days of swimming, the 21st RHAC Invitational has come to a close. Thank you to members of Black Sands Swim Squad and Blue Marlins for coming over from St Vincent to participate in this year’s event. We hope to see you soon!”
She added that the RHAC management acknowledges the participation of “all of our swimmers who came out and swam personal bests! Fantastic achievements!”
