The St. Lucia Football Association’s (SLFA) Inc. Senior Women’s Championship Title will be decided on Saturday (April 30) when the National U-14 comes up against front runners Vieux Fort South.
Two beaver tricks were scored in this tournament’s preliminary round matches.
The previously unbeaten Under-14 National Women team was stunned in their tracks as they went down to Canaries 6 – 0 in a bid to capture the championship.
It was a clinical performance by the Canaries ladies who enjoyed a comfortable 3 – 0 cushion at halftime.
Casandra Shepherd was in scintillating form, registering a beaver trick with goals in the 26th, 30th, 68th, and 73rd, minute; while Tannika Bernard 42nd and Kyla Solomon in the 73rd minute added goals helped complete the rampage.
Dennery was dominant in their game against a determined, yet winless Desruisseaux team, with a demolishing 7-2 victory.
Goal scorers for Dennery, included Ketina Joseph, with a beaver trick in the 52nd, 74th, 80th, and 83rd minute, a brace from Elisha Marquis, 63rd and 86th min, and the other by Merissa Sealy who opened the scoring in the 2nd min.
Scoring for Desruisseaux was Dayna Tobiere with a brace in the 42nd and 82nd min.
