Prime Minister, Hon. Phillip J. Pierre will address the nation tonight at 8:30p.m.
Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases, the Ministry of Health, through their daily COVID-19 updates had informed that the Prime Minister would be announcing the changes to the present protocols which will come into effect from August 13, 2021, to August 31, 2021.
The island, over the last few days, had registered over three hundred (300) active cases of COVID-19 and to date has recorded a total of 67 COVID-19 deaths and 27 COVID-19 related deaths.
As citizens anxiously await the new protocols, fears of a mandatory vaccination announcement were dismissed by the Minister of Health, Hon. Moses Jn Baptiste, who assured citizens that there are no plans to make taking the vaccine compulsory.
