Following the devastation caused by the eruption of the La Soufriere volcano in St. Vincent, the regional Partners from the offices in St. Lucia, Antigua, St. Kitts, Barbados, Trinidad, Curacao, Cayman Islands, the BVI and representatives of Grant Thornton International immediately pledged assistance to the team members of the St. Vincent Office as well as community-based organisations.
Managing Partner of the St. Lucia firm, Anthony Atkinson, confirmed that through a collaborative effort, Grant Thornton was able to raise EC$200,000.00 for the relief effort.
The St. Lucia office and its dedicated team members were also able to provide a shipment of supplies such as water and non-perishable food items to their counterparts in St. Vincent in the immediate aftermath of the eruption.
