The complete reconstruction of the Old Military Road in Bonne Terre, Gros Islet is set to begin on Tuesday April 6, 2021.
This project is expected to bring an end to years of hardships faced by commuters, due to the deplorable road conditions and present many benefits to neighbourhood residents.
The Old Military Road, is an important by-pass road off the busy John Compton Highway. The scope of works includes complete reconstruction of the asphalt road surface.
This project is funded through the Design, Finance, Build Mechanism funded by CIE Construction Company Limited.
According to the Ministry of Infrastructure, Ports, Energy and Labour, weather permitting, works will be completed in four months.
