US President, Donald Trump lost his voice yesterday when Twitter locked the 45th President out of his account.
The social media platform took the decision following the riot and invasion of the Capitol in Washington DC.
Twitter confirmed that the lockdown will last for 12 hours and reminded the president that future violations could result in a permanent suspension.
The company also required that three of Trump’s recent tweets be deleted or the account would face a harsher penalty. Such tweets included a statement video in which he urged rioters to go home while continuing his baseless claims about the veracity of the presidential election that he lost.
Social media giants, Facebook and Instagram, also announced that Trump wouldn’t be able to post for 24 hours following two violations of its policies.
