FOLLOWING the completion of the Saint Lucia National Cricket Association (SLNCA) Alicia John Women’s T20 tournament on Saturday 24th August 2019 at the Mindoo Phillip Park in which South Castries won by 4 wickets over Gros Islet, the SLNCA has named a twelve member All Star team.

According to SLNCA Operations Manager, Brian Calixte, the team was selected purely on the players’ statistics in the just completed tournament. Nerissa Crafton will lead the team.

Calixte said, “It is in the best interest of women’s cricket in having the All Star team and the Development team. The two teams will be playing a series of matches once a venue is available. The whole idea is to have the women match ready so whenever they are called for national duties, and that includes the Windward tournament, they will be able to go and give a good and much improved performance on the square”.

The twelve players called up to the All-Star team are as follows.

Opening batters: Roylin Cooper (105 runs), Nerissa Crafton (86), Malika Edward (82).
