SAINT LUCIA recorded victory against the Turks and Caicos, as the Caribbean Football Union Boys Under-14 Challenge series got underway on Saturday 4th August at the Estadio Panamericano de San Cristobal in the Dominican Republic.
A beaver trick from the boots of Steve Octave propelled Saint Lucia to an 8-0 drubbing of Turks and Caicos. Octave scored in the 3rd, 12th, 30th and 45th minute of play.
Also on the score sheet in the first half was Claude St. Ange in the 37th as St. Lucia went to the break leading 5-0.
On the resumption, the flood gates opened again as Shaquain nelson made it 6-0 in the 55th minute; Keegan Caull added a seventh in the 71st before Corey Williams gaping Turks and Caicos wound with an own goal 16 minutes from time.
In the second match, the home side, Dominican Republic defeated Saint Martin 3-0 courtesy of two goals from Joue de Leon Sabale and one from Luis Pimentel. All three goals were scored within the space of two minutes.
