Micoud Primary Schooler Declares Herself Prime Minister And Orders Ice Cream For All Students Island-wide
WHEN students of the Ti Rocher, Micoud Combined School paid a visit to Prime Minister, Allen Chastanet on Wednesday, one of them declared herself Prime Minister for the day, PM Chastanet wrote on his Facebook page.
According to the Prime Minister, the student named Zoe then immediately ordered that ice cream be made available to all the students.
“We all had a big laugh,” he wrote.
Thirty-six students and five teachers from the Ti Rocher Combined School paid the visit on the Prime Minister.
“They were thrilled to visit the Cabinet room and to learn about the operations of government,” Prime Minister Chastanet said.
“Almost all of them said that one day they hoped to be a minister of government — and some even wanted to be prime minister too,” he wrote.
According to the Saint Lucia leader, “Our future looks bright with determined students such as these.”
The students were treated to lunch earlier in the day at Serenity Park in Castries and taken on a train ride through the City. (GIS)
