The Massy United Insurance Under-19 Secondary Schools cricket tournament moves into the quarter final/knockout stage with matches scheduled for yesterday and next Monday.
The tournament resumed last Monday with one match at the Gros Islet playing field where Leon Hess Comprehensive defeated Corinth Secondary by 5 wickets. Batting first, Corinth Secondary was dismissed for 117 in 25 overs with Windward Islands Under-15 player Lee Solomon scoring 56.
Bowling for Leon Hess Comprehensive, national Under-15 player Jaden Elibox picked up 5 for 28 in 8 overs. Windward Islands Under-15 player Kegan Arnold had 3 for 14 in 4 overs .
Chasing 118 for victory, Leon Hess Comprehensive comfortably got to their target, finishing on 120 for 5 in 25 overs with Brandt Jean (captain) making 26 and UdellPreville 18 not out.
Bowling for Corinth Secondary, Roshaun St. Louis bagged 3 for 30 in 8 overs and Mc Kale Nelson 2 for 12 in 5 overs.
