An industrial row is brewing between the management of First Citizens Investment Services Ltd. (FCIS) and the National Workers Union (NWU).
Negotiations between the financial services company and the trade union were successfully completed months ago and the parties agreed that pending official signing of the new industrial package, provisions within the new industrial accord would have been implemented.
While workers have remained quiet and diligently execute their responsibilities with deep commitment, this cannot continue indefinitely.
The NWU has since requested the intervention of the Labour Commissioner, Ray Narcisse and has planned a series of cell meetings to determine the way forward.
The NWU has never had such an experience with other financial services companies whose employees it represents.
