National Under -15 Football Continues

SOME of Saint Lucia’s talented Under-15 footballers will be in action today as the Saint Lucia Football Association / Saint Lucia Sports Online football tournament continues at the Micoud playing field as Dennery comes up against Mabouya Valley from 5:00 p.m.

Vieux Fort South

Tomorrow the tournament switches to the Phillip Marcellin Grounds in Vieux Fort for a double header. In game one, Laborie plays Soufriere from 5:00 p.m. with Vieux Fort South facing Vieux Fort North from 7:00 p.m.

Vieux-Fort South have almost guaranteed themselves a spot in the quarterfinals of the Southern Zone while Soufriere and Laborie are battling for the next spot.

Meanwhile, in the first double-header played at the Marcellin Grounds on Sunday, Laborie gave themselves a better chance when they defeated Vieux-Fort North by 4 -1, a victory made easy with Kurvy Rosemond scoring his second hat-trick of the tournament and bringing his goal tally to 6. The win gave Laborie 6 points and put them on par with Soufriere who lost their game against Vieux-Fort South 2-1.

Vieux Fort North

Both of Vieux-Fort South’s goals were scored by Saviola Elva, son of former national player Titus ‘TT’ Elva and the win has put the team on 12 points.

Also on Sunday, this time at the Micoud playing field, Desruisseaux defeated Mon Repos 2 – 0 ; and Mabouya Valley had the better of Micoud 2 – 1..
