Dr. Jules said Ambassador Richardson was a distinguished public servant whose appointment would be a great asset to the OECS given his extraordinary depth of knowledge, experience and commitment to Caribbean integration and Diaspora Affairs.
“Ambassador Richardson’s wealth of public sector experience in areas such as trade, foreign affairs, and cabinet governance represents a strengthening of the Commission as we seek to advance and accelerate the implementation of the Revised Treaty of Basseterre and to realize a better standard of living for all citizens.
“The state of our regional economies require a renewed call for action and innovative solutions and to this end Ambassador Richardson will also be providing valued guidance on how the Caribbean diaspora can play an increasing role in both skills and resources transfer to our region for enhanced economic growth.
“With our focus on the future and united in our quest for the advancement and security for the Caribbean, the OECS warmly welcomes Ambassador Richardson to his new post and looks forward with anticipation, to the significant contribution he will make in our journey toward a more prosperous, unified OECS” said Dr. Jules.
