WEATHER permitting basketball action returns on centre court this evening when the St. Lucia Basketball Federation sponsored KFC League stages the finals from 6:00 p.m. at the Vigie Multipurpose Complex.
Contesting the finals is Basketball for the Future and Run N’ Gun All Stars.
With the three match series locked at 1 – 1 it will be all to play for when the two teams meet with only the championship trophy and gold medals at stake.
Basketball for the Future with the likes of Paul Hippolyte, Cassim James, Timothy Gabriel, Jervais Antoine, Germaine Cox and Clive Cyril on its roster are expected to come out firing after a three week delay due to unforeseen circumstances experienced by the organizes regarding the Beausejour Indoor Facility where the game was to have been played. But they will have to contend with Run N’ Gun’s – Rahim Auguste, Shem Jn Marie, Tim Baptiste and Gillan Joseph.
The last time the two teams played was in Game 2 with BFTF winning 73 – 51 to level the three match series.
The two teams have at least three players averaging more than 10 points a game, and four players averaging more than three assists per contest
Meanwhile, the SLBF has apologized for any inconvenience caused in the three week delay of the finals that was first scheduled for Saturday July 9. The SLBF is also reminding the third place teams in both Divisions the RSLPF and MicoudHustlerz and the championship team Courts Jets that they should be present for the Awards Ceremony after the evening showpiece.
