A boundary studded 142 by national youth player Dane Edward along with a well compiled 95 from Jard Goodman, made sure that the St. Lucia Lotteries Authority Under – 19 trophy headed nowhere, but to Gros Islet, at the weekend.

Winning the toss and batting, the Gros Islet batsmen flayed the South Castries bowlers to all parts of the Mindoo Phillip Park, as they rattled up 323 for the loss of 4 wickets.
With this imposing total before them, the South Castries lads never really threatened as they folded for 94. Adlil Barlow (26) and Nixon Edmund (23) were the only scores of note.
Bowling for Gros Islet, Renee Montoute claimed 3 for 34. Simeon Gerson and Dane Edward had two wickets each.
