The St. Lucia National Lottery has just made the day, or year of one lucky player who snagged the big Easter Super 6 jackpot.

Yesterday morning at the SNL Headquarters in Sunny Acres, Richard Popo of Vieux Fort claimed his cheque for $325,000.

On Saturday March 26, the SNL held a special draw which included an “Easter Booster”.

This meant that if anyone won the jackpot on that very day ($225,000) SNL would have added an extra $100,000 to the total winnings.

Popo, who won the prize and is currently the third Saint Lucian to have won the jackpot for the year so far, said he had no idea that he had won.

He said: “I went back in to replay the ticket and the young lady told me I had won.”

Seemingly a man of few words, when asked if he would like to say anything to other players with regars to giving them hope to play on, all he said was: “Just keep playing!”

Natalia Destang who is the Sales and Marketing Assistant hinted by saying that Popo might not be the only person to win such a prize as the future looks promising: “I just want to urge all of you to play Super 6. You never know when it could be your lucky day. Just like he was, it could be yours. We could be adding another $100,000 to that in the future, you never know.”
