JUST months away from the island’s main cultural showpiece, Toxik Carnival is preparing to unveil its 2016 presentation.
The Mas Production organization celebrating nine years this year, will portray ‘’The Uprising’’, a theme which is inspired by the evolution and rebranding of the entity.
The 2016 theme will feature the story of the band, one that has withstood many challenges from its inception, as it evolves into a brand.
From this theme, the imagination of the masqueraders who will bring the story to life will be sparked whilst a true understanding of its challenges will be explored.
Speaking of the new and re-branded thrust, Toxik’s Bandleader Gareth Jules says “… Fun aside,
Toxik’s management team has gone through some major changes over the last few years, all indicative of the commitment and thirst for the advancement of not just the brand, but also towards St. Lucia carnival.
Jules notes that the contribution Toxik has made in St. Lucia Carnival says something about the relevance of the brand in carnival, adding that emphasis will be placed on customer service and brand development.
“This year the band with its new management team will host a Costume Design Mentorship Programme which will be a key component of the band, along with the expansion into its brand awareness campaign through its philanthropic arm – Toxik Cares.
The mas fraternity can expect a brand with new talent, expert guidance, and a portrayal like no other.
According to Jules, “Toxik Carnival welcomes volunteers and assistance as it pledges to the progress of the carnival industry in Saint Lucia.
Toxik Carnival will soon host its media launch, then afterwards an official band launch.
