THE recently-launched Vieux Fort Chapter of Volunteer Saint Lucia has adopted a mandate to foster positive change in the town, by implementing projects which promote education and youth development.
In keeping with this objective, the group will host a FUNdamental Numeracy and Music Exposé on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. at Independence Square in celebration of Mathematics Month and as a catalyst to rekindle an interest in numeracy among students ranging in age from 5 to 16 years.
Students will participate in a variety of fun numeracy activities including a Mental Math Competition, Scavenger Hunt, and Math Jingle Contest.
These activities will be accompanied by lots of fun entertainment including musical presentations by entertainers from the south.
