EVER heard of a store in Saint Lucia opening up for business minutes after midnight?
Well, that’s exactly what the Digicel stores in Castries and Vieux Fort, did Thursday night introducing Saint Lucians to a novel experience that has now become known the world over as ‘Black Friday Sale’.
It was fun and exciting to see the line of expectant shoppers in Castries in particular, stretching from the entrance of the store all up to Central Library and a little beyond, some in line hours before the midnight hour hoping to get their hands on one of the shiny new handsets that were on sale.

This first time ever experience was Digicel’s way of unveiling its Christmas campaign called ‘Brighten Your Christmas’ which started yesterday and ends the very last day of the year. During that time Digicel customers stand a chance to win daily cash, gifts and goodies totaling over $200,000.
