BAYFEST Pushed Back 3 Weeks

BAYFEST, a new addition to the St. Lucian calendar that was expected to kick off November 28, has been pushed back to December 12.

The festival will bring together artisans, entrepreneurs, performers and students to showcase their talent to thousands of consumers in the heart of Rodney Bay.

This once a month festival featuring food, fashion, dance, music, family fun, live entertainment and much more will be conveniently located between Baywalk Shopping Mall and JQ Rodney Bay Mall.

In addition to entrepreneurs, businesses and community organizations having the opportunity to sell and promote their goods and initiatives, BAYFEST will also facilitate youth training and internship experiences within St Lucia’s creative & hospitality industries.

With the inaugural instalment of the street festival series three weeks away featuring the annual Fashion Fusion showcase, preparations are in progress by the BAYFEST Team. Model castings, boot camps and dance rehearsals have also been gearing up aspiring talent for their big debut. However, due to ongoing repairs to the failed culvert along the Castries Gros Islet highway near J.Q Rodney Bay Mall, the BAYFEST team has decided to reschedule the first presentation.

Said the organizers: “ After careful consideration of the traffic logistics, monitoring the repairs, direct communication with the police and public updates from the Ministry of Infrastructure, Port Services and Transport, this re-scheduling is in the interest of all involved in front and behind the scenes as well as those planning to attend “
