Monchy, Glace Share 8 Goals In G.I. Draw

ONE match is on the cards for this evening as the action continues in the Gros Islet Football League at the Gros Islet Playing Field, between Monchy and Gros Islet Veterans.

On Tuesday evening in the third game of the tournament Dominators Youths defeated Gros Islet Polic 2-1.

In the 12th minute of play Dominators Youths took the lead with a goal from Zane Philogene and despite the lawmen’s fight back for the equalizer that’s how the scored line stayed up until the half time whistle.On the resumption Dominators scored again through Zane Daniel in the 86th minute to give his team the win and all three points.

In game No. 4 last evening GMC United took on Treasure Bay Casino.

The League kicked off last Sunday with a grand opening at the same venue with a march past of the participating teams. Following the opening ceremony two games were played with a total of 9 goals scored.

In game 1 Monchy FC took, an early lead against Glace GMC with a goal by Leonel Ambrose in the 12th minute. Oneil Nelson doubled the score line in the 32nd minute to seize the advantage at the half time whistle.

On the resumption saw Glace move on to equalize with goals from SebastienRibot in the 51st minute and Gaires Geoffrey in the 53rd minute. From thereon it was a dig dong battle for full points,CherdamChewitt put Glace in the lead in the 68th minute. Oneil Nelson was good on the night when he found the back of the, nets for his second goal in the 78th minute. Again Glace GMC surged ahead through TyreceJeremi’s 81st minute goal to start a mini celebration on the square, but that was short lived as Monchy FC keep the pressure on and in the process found the much deserved equalizer in the 83rd minute to share the points in a 4-4 draw.

In Game 2, Super J Northern United B took on Dominators FC in a game that never lived up to expectation Northern United B winning 1 – 0.
