SMC, Soufriere Comp. For Massy Finals

St. Mary’s College are through to the finals of the Massy United Insurance Under-19 Schools Cricket Tournament after registering a comfortable 8 wicket victory over Sir Arthur Lewis on Saturday at the Mindoo Phillip Park. They will meet Soufriere Comprehensive in the tournament’s grand finals.

St. Mary’s College completely dominated the match, as Sir Arthur Lewis batting first were dismissed for 73 in 32 overs, with captain Christian Charlery making 25, the only batsman to reach double figures.

For St. Mary’s College, the main wicket takers were Qwaine Henry who picked up 2 for 7 in 3 overs, Simeon Gerson 2 for 8 in 4 overs and Keeghan Patrick 2 for 9 in 7 overs.

Chasing 74 for victory and a spot into the finals, St. Mary’s College finished on 75 for 2 in 22 overs, with Kevyn Arnold and Keeghan Patrick finishing on 37 and 15 not out respectively.

For Sir Arthur Lewis, the wicket takers were Simeon Dalkhan and Millan David with one wicket each.

The Massy United Insurance “man of the match” went to Patrick for his fine all round performance.
