THE newly laid Cul de Sac tracks will come alive when over 25 motocross riders participate in the St. Lucia Moto X Club dubbed “Return of the Titans” season scheduled for, Sunday from 11.00 a.m.

ShirlynDupigny, Secretary of the St. Lucia Moto X Club who spoke to The VOICE about the event said; “We have five categories. They are Peewees, Juniors, Class C, Class B and Class A. Each category has three races to undergo. The public can look forward to an eventful day of racing and for the first time the St.Lucia Cycling Association will also put on a series of events after each race”.

The St. Lucia Moto X Club has been hosting the motocross race for 23 years. The reigning champion is Daran Rosemond who is in danger of being dethroned by Kevin Elcock who is in the lead so far. The highlight of the May 31 event will be the Class A race where all the big guns will compete.

Dupigny noted, “This leg will only host our local riders, but at the end of the season there is a motocross race scheduled for Dominica where riders from St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada, Martinique, Guadeloupe and host Dominica will do battle for supremacy against reigning champion Rosemond and the rest of the St.Lucia team members competing in the different categories”.
