Spelling Bee

THE 2015 annual Francophonie Spelling Bee/Competition for Secondary Schools (Concoursd’orthographe – EcolesSecondaires) takes place on Friday 20th March 2015 from 9:30 a.m. at the National Cultural Centre (Barnard Hill, Castries). This competition, now in its sixth year, forms part of the annual Programme of Activities (targeting both schools and the general public) in commemoration of International Francophonie Day (JourneeInternationale de la Francophonie).

The Francophonie Spelling Bee Competition, introduced in recognition of the fact that spelling continues to be one of the more difficult areas for students learning the French language will take place among lower-secondary schools island-wide. The Champion will receive a Prize Trip to Paris, France, compliments Air Caraïbes& Travel Boutique. Participants can also look forward to receiving a number of other very exciting prizes and awards.
