YESTERDAY, a group of young men employed by NICE truly exemplified that caring persons still live in our community.
The seven employees Germaine Cox, Peter Francois, Dwain Cornibert, Marlon Aulis, Elishus Sealy, Antoine Justine, Hubert Lambert and their supervisor Bernard Paul made a monetary contribution to a Grade 6 student at the Bocage Primary School towards the purchase of a pair of shoes.
Aulis and Cox explained that as they were executing their duties of the upkeep of the Bocage Primary School’s playing field, they noticed a young male student whose shoes were in a deplorable condition.
“We saw the state of the boy’s shoes and we said that’s not right!” remarked Marlon. “I asked him what happened to his shoes and he told me that this was the only one he had. We called our other friends and we decided to put money together to buy him a better pair”
The principal who was very appreciative of the gesture held a brief informal handing over ceremony with the group of kind hearted young men, the supervisor and the student.
Said Principal Davis Thomas: “It is not often that we see gestures like this in our community and I believe that these NICE workers ought to be commended for their generosity.”
Small deeds, big contribution. Observance and deliverance. After all you are”
NICE”people. God bless.
