A prominent Saint Lucian artist and educator takes centre stage this week with an eagerly anticipated exhibition of new works.
Mrs. Christine Samuel, who is better known nationally for her outstanding contributions in the field of dance, is set to present to the Saint Lucian public a new and totally original line of bags that she has developed.
Working under her brand name Christy Creations, Christine has utilised her diverse arts and craft skills to create a delightful array of original hand-painted and artistically themed bags. She has guaranteed that every bag is an original individual creation that is not duplicated and will remain a special one-of-a-kind creation for its owner.
The bags of Christy Creations will be presented to the public at a two day exhibition and showcase entitled “That’s My Bag”, which is scheduled to take place at the Castries Town Hall tomorrow and Saturday. The exhibition will include a fashion show tomorrow afternoon in which models will display the bags along with a line of clothing from a specially invited local fashion designer.
This unique exhibition of locally crafted bags from Christy Creations is set to make a much welcomed contribution to the development of the creative industry in Saint Lucia. The public is invited to visit the Castries Town Hall and view this wonderful display of authentic Saint Lucian craft.
