THE Corinth Playing Field Playing field will be a hive of activity tomorrow when the Gros Islet Football League kicks off its 2015 Promotional Tournament with a march past of the participating teams.
Following the showpiece all eyes will be on the square as the excitement kicks off with GMC United against Monchy from 2.00 p.m. while Northern United plays Dominators at 4.00 p.m. on what is expected to be a day of football entertainment.
The participating teams in the tournament includes are: Northern United, Sew View, Dominators, Monchy, GMC United and Coco Pere. The championship team will receive $1000.00 and the second place finisher will take home $500.00.
According to the organizers all FIFA rules will apply and matches will be of 90 minutes duration.
The first and second place teams will have the bragging rights to represent Gros Islet in the St. Lucia Football Association’s President Cup.
