The beneficiaries included participants of the Ministry of Social Transformation’s Public Assistance Programme, the Community After-school Programme and the Boys Training Centre.

Project Education, led by Jeremiah Hyacinth, forwarded school supplies collected through contributions of the Diaspora in New York, to the Saint Lucia government. Presentations were then made to the recipients by the Permanent Secretary and the acting deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Social Transformation.

Representatives of the beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the Ministry and Project Education for the supplies.

Approximately 3,500 families benefit from assistance of various types coordinated by the Ministry’s Public Assistance Programme, while over 700 children benefit directly from the After-school Programme
