PINEHILL and its local distributor Peter & Company Ltd. committed to a donation of $5,000.00 to the Victoria Hospital Paediatric Ward in celebration of the 15th Pinehill Funwalk Event, which was held in August.
As part of their commitment, Pinehill Juices and Bebin Baby Diapers will also be given to the paediatric ward every month for the next six months.
Pinehill Brand Manager Shari Popo said: “Children are at the heart of the Pinehill Brand and we do recognize that a hospital admission can be an emotional and stressful time for young ones and can also affect many aspects of family life. As a Brand and Business, we do hope that this donation in some way offers assistance by way of refreshments and baby supplies for young patients during their hospital stay.”
In attendance at the brief prize giving ceremony, were the Executive Director of the Hospital, Mrs. Jeanette Hughes, Nursing Director Ruth Adesanya, Nurses Natalie Preville and Cecelia Goodman.
The Victoria Hospital was elated to receive the donation. Said Mrs. Hughes: “The hospital functions in a resource-constrained environment, with many operational challenges; partnerships with the private sector contribute significantly to the ease of delivering quality care and services to our patients, particularly the young and most vulnerable ones.”
The supplies will be used primarily for the patients of the Paediatric ward and neonatal unit.
