Rochelle entered the Media fraternity in May 2011 as a fresh-faced young woman with a passion for the English language, a thirst for worldly knowledge and a longing to inform the world of what was happening around them, whether it was good or bad.
She began as part of a small news team at Choice Television, which falls under the MediaZone umbrella. She was hired as one of the original members of the newly created Choice News Now team, as the company was just venturing into news.
During her nearly three-year stint there, she saw the news team and cast grow from a brand new idea. to a well known and credible source of news in St. Lucia. Whilst there, I also blossomed into becoming a more confident and daring journalist, as well as TV show host.
In May 2014, she joined at The VOICE Publishing Company Limited, after leaving broadcast media in November 2013.
“I have been in my true element since, as I truly believe that print is where I belong.” Shortly after starting at The VOICE as a reporter, Rochelle became a columnist, with features in each of the three weekly publications, namely, “Sounding Off “on Tuesdays, “A Face in the Crowd” on Thursdays and “Woman of the Week” on Saturdays.
Whilst she tackles every subject matter (with the exception of sports) she is especially drawn to human interest stories and reports. She considers herself a real people’s person who loves drawing attention to the positive news as well as highlighting the people responsible for spreading/creating that positivity.
