Leevie Herelle, a barrister-at-law, has been elected as the new president of the Rotary Club of Saint Lucia, coinciding with the group’s celebration of its 60th anniversary.
The recent Handing Over ceremony took place at Sumo Seoul in Rodney Bay, Gros Islet.
In passing the “Chain of Command” to the new president, outgoing President Roger Hare commended the club membership for their unwavering support over the years. He highlighted the successful launch of the much-anticipated project, the “Mobile Dental Clinic,” which was conceptualized four years ago.
“Thanks to Rotary International and the generous support from Massey Stores, LUCELEC, and M&C Drug Stores, we delivered essential services for the children of Saint Lucia at a cost exceeding $300,000,” Hare noted.
President Leevie Herelle has pledged to continue the organization’s legacy of service and community support as the club looks forward to another productive year.
