
The Saint Lucia Semi- Pro Football League (SPFL) delivered thrilling results as the competition continued on Wednesday at the Philip Marcellin Grounds in Vieux Fort.
In the opening match, the National U-17 Boys team showcased their skills by defeating Roseau Valley 2-1 in a hard-fought contest. Eden Sandiford gave the U-17s an early lead in the 7th minute, and the team’s advantage grew when Gimel Rone inadvertently scored an own goal in the 28th minute.
Despite a relentless effort from Roseau Valley, they could only respond with a goal from O’Shawn Gilbert in the 62nd minute. The national youth team secured maximum points with this win.
The second match featured defending Tier I champions La Clery, who were held to a stubborn 1-1 draw by Vieux Fort South. La Clery struck first with a goal from Yanick Noel in the 21st minute, but Vieux Fort South answered back just minutes later with an equalizer from Gregory Preston in the 25th minute.

Additionally, Sunday’s fixtures brought two closely contested draws. Canaries and Vieux Fort North played to a tense 0-0 stalemate.
In another match, Soufriere and Anse La Raye battled to a 1-1 draw. Soufriere initially took the lead through William Cenac in the 45+3 minute, but Anse La Raye responded in the second half with Anthony Cadette equalizing in the 74th minute.
