Dennery Triumphs in SLFA Women’s Competition Opener

On Monday, August 3, the SLFA Inc. Senior Women’s competition kicked off at the Desruisseaux Playing Field, featuring an exciting opening match between Dennery and the home team, Desruisseaux.

Dennery emerged victorious, defeating Desruisseaux with a score of 2-0. The goals for Dennery were scored by Ketina Joseph in the 69th minute and Faye Fregis in the 85th minute.

The competition is set to take place every Monday. The next match will occur on August 14, featuring Anse La Raye versus Canaries at the Phillip Marcellin Grounds in Vieux Fort at 6:00 p.m., followed by Gros facing Central Castries at 8:00 p.m.

Exciting Sunday Action in the SLFA Inc. Boys Under 14 District League

This past Sunday, the SLFA Inc. Boys Under 14 District League lit up the Technical Centre in Grande Riviere, Dennery, with thrilling matchups, showcasing some remarkable young talent.

In the first match, Desruisseaux claimed a hard-fought 1-0 win against Laborie, with a decisive goal from A. Flavius striking in the 60th minute to secure the victory.

In a surprising turn of events, Anse La Raye did not show for their match against Central Castries, leaving the latter team to capitalize on the points without breaking a sweat.

However, the excitement reached new heights as Soufrière delivered a breathtaking 10-0 triumph over Choiseul. Jonathan Emilene was nothing short of sensational, netting a phenomenal hat trick at 26, 32, and 42 minutes. Raysean Bell added two goals in the 13th and 33rd minutes, while contributions from Keneilson Hippolyte, an own goal by Arnell Smith, Kyree Clovis, Luciannus David, and Shanil Solomon highlighted the team’s offensive dominance.

Babonneau also made a statement, overpowering South Castries with a commanding 10-0 victory, having established a formidable 4-0 lead by halftime. Standout performances came from Vincy Cadasse and Kyle St. Valle, each scoring twice, along with key goals from Leshaun Gordon, Mehk Anthony, Mc Kenny Douglas, Amari Jn. Baptiste, Rojon Adolphe, and Kieon Polius.
