.

Carnival revelers and enthusiasts are gearing up for this year’s Lucian Carnival extravaganza, featuring a variety of activities planned for the growing festival in July.

On Sunday, March 8, numerous hopeful delegates will audition for the National Carnival Queen Pageant. The Carnival Planning and Management Committee (CPMC), along with the National Carnival Queen Planning Committee (NCQPC), is facilitating this event, bringing revelers and participants one step closer to crowning a new Carnival Queen for Lucian Carnival.

With registration officially closed, all auditionees have been confirmed for the event, which coincides with International Women’s Day. The private audition will focus on three key assessment areas: swimwear, talent, and the evening gown segment.

Seven delegates will be selected to participate in the National Carnival Queen Pageant, which is now in its 72nd year.

This prestigious event showcases grace, intelligence, and national pride, serving as the highlight of the annual calendar of activities.

Come Sunday, delegates will engage in months of intensive training in preparation for a life of dignity and service while promoting Saint Lucian culture.

In addition to the coveted title, the 2026 Carnival Queen will receive a cash prize of EC$25,000, a university scholarship, and numerous opportunities for personal and professional development.

This year marks the conclusion of a memorable reign for National Carnival Queen, Miss Emerle Tisson, from the cultural capital of Saint Lucia, Choiseul.

The pageant is scheduled for Saturday, July 4, at the Pavilion on Rodney Bay.
