National Printing Corporation to Re-open on Thursday Boasting of a New Website and Revolutionary Printing

Over the years, the National Printing Corporation (NPC), more fondly referred to as “The Government Printery”, has significantly enhanced its production capabilities and service delivery. Established in 1913, The NPC has made impressive strides in modernising its printing capabilities, starting with letterpress printing and now using advanced digital presses, the printing establishment has clearly focused on improving efficiency and quality.

The addition of a customer-friendly interactive website, a highly trained workforce, a modern four-colour printing press, and upgraded book-binding equipment, along with digital presses that can fold and staple, shows a strong commitment to productivity and high-quality output.

“The digital presses,” says Assistant Manager, Gaius Anius, “delivers exceptionally high-quality prints. These digital presses also can fold and staple a variety of documents at a much faster speed, ensuring that customers receive their products in record time.”

Digital technology has significantly transformed the NPC in several ways and ranks the NPC as second to none in the printing services business:

Efficiency and Cost-Effectiveness: Digital printing eliminates the need for traditional printing plates, allowing for faster and more cost-effective production.

Personalization: The ability to customize prints to meet individual customer needs has become a major trend, with hyper-personalization taking centre stage.

Sustainability: The industry is increasingly adopting eco-friendly practices, such as using recycled media and environmentally friendly consumables.

Adaptability: Digital printing technology allows the NPC to make quick adjustments and updates, making it easier to meet the demands of a rapidly changing market.

According to Permanent Secretary, Esther Rigobert,“These advancements have made the National Printing Corporation more efficient, flexible, and environmentally friendly, providing customers with better and higher quality service at affordable rates.”

Against the background of these revolutionary advancements, the NPC is scheduled to officially unveil its offerings at its newly established premises at Vide Bouteille, on the compound of Monroe University, on Thursday, October 31, from 10:30 am. Hon. Philip J Pierre, Prime Minister, and Minister for Finance—whose ministry is responsible for overseeing the operations of the NPC—is expected to deliver the keynote address.
