On Sunday, September 8, 2024, at about 11:20 p.m., the Gros-Islet Police Station received a report of a shooting at Pigeon Point in Gros-Islet that resulted in the death of one male.
Preliminary inquiries revealed that one male sustained an apparent gunshot injury to his lower extremities and was conveyed to the Owen King European Union Hospital (OKEU) for medical treatment.
On Monday, September 9, 2024, the victim passed away and was pronounced dead at the institution by a medical practitioner. The deceased has been identified as twenty-one-year-old Nke St Ville from Balata, Castries.
