Leatherbacks Crush Choiseul by 141 Runs in SPL T20 Thriller

The Babonneau Leatherbacks delivered a commanding performance in Match 4 of the SPL T20, overpowering Choiseul Craft Masters by a massive 141 runs at the Francis “Baba” Lastic Grounds on Saturday.

Batting first, Babonneau put on a batting masterclass, piling up an imposing 253 for 4 in 20 overs. Khan Elcock led the charge with a blistering 79 off 43 balls, while Shervon Joseph added a rapid 65 from just 27 deliveries. The Leatherbacks’ aggressive stroke play kept the scoreboard racing and the Choiseul bowlers under constant pressure.

 

In response, Choiseul struggled to keep up with the required run rate and were bowled out for 112 in 13.2 overs. Jason Simon top-scored with 35 off 15 balls, while David Livingstone contributed 65 from 27 deliveries. However, the Leatherbacks’ bowlers proved too strong, with Joshua Mann ripping through the batting line-up with impressive figures of 6 for 31, supported by Khan Elcock who picked up 3 for 21.

Despite the heavy defeat, Choiseul’s supporters stood firmly behind their team. From the first ball to the final wicket, the Choiseul fans cheered passionately, waving flags and lifting spirits even after the loss. Their unwavering support added vibrant energy to the atmosphere and showcased the true spirit of the SPL.
