
The St. Lucia Aquatics Federation (SLAF) is excited to announce the official team that will represent the island at the CARIFTA Aquatics Championships 2026, taking place from April 3–8 at the Pierre Samot Aquatic Centre in Le Lamentin, Martinique.
This dynamic team of twelve swimmers has successfully met the qualifying standards and will compete against some of the region’s top athletes in this prestigious aquatic event.

The SLAF commends the athletes for their unwavering dedication, discipline, and resilience throughout the qualification process.
A representative from the Federation shared, “Due to circumstances beyond our control at the training venue, swimmers faced limited opportunities for local competition at both club and national levels. Despite these constraints, swimmers and their families made considerable sacrifices, traveling to Martinique multiple times to participate in competitions and achieve the required qualifying times.”
This level of commitment highlights the determination and passion of Team Saint Lucia. The SLAF also acknowledges the invaluable support of coaches, parents, and partners who are crucial in the development of aquatic sports in Saint Lucia.
As the team gears up for the regional competition, the Federation encourages the public to rally behind the athletes as they proudly represent Saint Lucia.
