Saint Lucia delivered an outstanding performance at the prestigious Black Beard Trophy Tournament, a Level III IPSC competition held in Guadeloupe from March 18–22, 2026. Two Saint Lucian athletes each secured a President’s Medal, bringing the nation’s total to three.
The IPSC President’s Medal is the highest honor bestowed by the President of the International Practical Shooting Confederation, recognizing exceptional performance, service, and contributions to the sport. It stands as one of the most prestigious distinctions in IPSC, awarded sparingly to individuals whose impact has significantly shaped and advanced practical shooting.
The event featured handgun and PCC (Pistol Caliber Carbine) disciplines, bringing together 104 handgun athletes and 21 PCC athletes from seven regions, competing across seven divisions: Production Optics, Production, Open, Standard, Optics, Classic, and PCC.
A strong Saint Lucian contingent of 18 athletes proudly represented the nation across six divisions—Production Optics (1), Production (2), Open (7), Standard (7), Optics (1) and PCC (2). The team showcased depth and diversity, including five senior competitors (ages 50–59), one super senior (60–69), and one female athlete.
Saint Lucia’s presence was emphatically felt on the podium.
