Operations Report: Joint Operations Conducted in Micoud & Vieux Fort; Firearm & Ammunition Recovered

On Friday, February 27, 2026, the Gangs, Narcotics and Firearms Unit (GNF), comprising both the Northern and Southern detachments, supported by the Southern Tactical Response Team and the K9 Unit, conducted a joint operation in the Vieux Fort and Micoud areas.

A search of a residence at Morne Cayenne, Vieux Fort, led to the recovery of one (1) rifle. Three individuals were arrested. Following the arrests, fifty-five (55)-year-old Linus Fontenelle, twenty-four (24)-year-old Kwame Fontenelle, and fifty-two (52)-year-old Berthelia Winter were each charged with the offence of Possession of a Firearm.

All three individuals appeared before a Magistrate and were granted bail in the sum of thirty-five thousand dollars (XCD 35,000), cash or suitable surety.

At a separate location in Dugard, Micoud, officers recovered one (1) round of 5.56 ammunition. One male, identified as twenty-five (25)-year-old Kervan Laurence, was arrested and subsequently charged with the offence of Possession of Ammunition in connection with the seizure.

During a bail hearing, Kervan Laurence was granted bail in the sum of three thousand five hundred dollars (XCD 3,500), cash or suitable surety. As part of his bail conditions, he is required to report to the Vieux Fort Police Station every Thursday between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., and to surrender all travel documents.
