On Monday, employees of the National Insurance Corporation (NIC) reportedly downed their tools and participated in a ‘Sick Out.’
In a statement, the NIC informed the public that several employees had reported ‘sick’ that day. As a result, the Corporation had no choice but to temporarily close the following offices:
– Vieux Fort
– Soufriere
– Blue Coral Mall, Castries
The offices at the Castries Waterfront and Rodney Bay remain open to serve customers; however, cash services are unavailable at the Waterfront office.

In the meantime, employers are encouraged to utilize the following alternative options for service:
– Submit C3 forms online through the Smart Submit portal and make payments using direct bank deposit, ensuring to include your NIC employer registration number with the bank deposit.
– Place completed C3 forms and cheques in the deposit box located in the lobby of the Castries Waterfront office. Please include a contact number and indicate whether you would like to receive your receipt by mail.
The NIC apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and thanks the public for their patience and understanding. The NIC remains committed to delivering uninterrupted service to the people of Saint Lucia and will provide further updates as necessary.
