This event is part of ongoing efforts to connect health and sports within our communities, showcasing how basketball can be a powerful platform for youth development and community wellness.
In collaboration with the Laborie Credit Union, the Laborie Youth and Sports Council, and FIBA Basketball for Good, this festival unites various community organizations dedicated to the well-being and development of the youth in Saint Lucia.
Attendees can look forward to a community health clinic offering free health testing, along with a youth basketball festival featuring approximately 50 participating students.
Activities will include basketball drills, skill development sessions, and scrimmage games.
Representatives from the Laborie Credit Union will be available on-site for interviews regarding their support for this initiative.
Additionally, key members of the Net Blazers Basketball Club, including Ramani Lewis, Secretary, and Petal Brown, Youth Programs Coordinator, will be present to discuss the event and its impact.
