Search Warrants Executed at Ti Morne, Gros Islet; Two Charged With Drug-related Offences

On February 5, 2026, officers executed search warrants on premises located at Ti Morne, Gros Islet, linked to thirty-five (35)-year-old Lance Alfred, also known as “Bolo”, and thirty-six (36)- year-old Tresha Richard.

During the search, officers recovered approximately US $13,000.00 in cash and a quantity of cannabis resin.

Both individuals were arrested and subsequently charged with the offences of Possession of Cannabis Resin and Possession of Cannabis Resin with Intent to Supply. On Friday, February 6, 2026, they appeared before a magistrate and were each granted bail in the sum of $1,500.00 cash.

In light of the substantial sum of cash recovered and the circumstances under which it was found, officers initiated the cash seizure process pursuant to Section 29(a) of the Crime Act of Saint Lucia, on the grounds that the monies are suspected to be proceeds of criminal conduct.

The Financial Intelligence Authority (FIA) was formally notified of the recovery and has since assumed an active role in the matter, pursuing the cash seizure and conducting further financial investigations.

Meanwhile, The RSLPF has launched a probe into a homicide in Castries.

On Thursday January 15, 2026, about 10:00 a.m., officers from the Criminal Investigations Department responded to a report of a stabbing at Carl Crescent Street.

Initial reports indicated the victim sustained one stab wound. The victim was attended to by the Saint Lucia Fire Service and was transported to the Owen King European Hospital (OKEU) via ambulance.

Officers were later informed by a medical practitioner that the victim succumbed to his injury, later identified as twenty-five (25) year old Leeval Albert of Soufriere.

On Monday February 2, 2026 about 1:30 p.m., officers of the Criminal Investigations Department arrested forty (40) year old Chadwyn Lansiquot of City Gate, La Clery for causing the death of Leeval Albert.

On Wednesday February 4, 2026 Leeval Albert was charged for the offence of Murder, and was escorted to the First District Court on Thursday February 4, 2026 and remanded to the Bordelais Correctional Facility.
